Above: The C3 Award for Chemical Education was presented to Dietmar Kenepohl of Athabasca University.

Left: Bala Naidoo won the J.Willard Gibbs trophy for the second straight year, but took some kidding about the sprint to the finish (see the Fun Run page).

Right: Entertainment for the evening was provided by folksinger Bob Bossin who sang a selection of songs he has written over the years. "Maple Leaf Dog", "I'm so Glad Not to be in Nanaimo" and "La Chanson Francee" were crowd favorites
