The Conference Hotel: Gage Towers

Now you may wonder what in the world is worth documenting in a university residence. Well, six C3 members reserved rooms in one quad, and the common area here became the C3 Hospitality Suite. Since we were unable to sample the conference brews at any of the social functions because of licencing problems, this is where people gathered to talk and have a beer. There were two beers brewed for the conference (by Bob Perkins and Bob Browne), a lager, and a nut brown ale. The labels were reminders of past conferences (Yukon in '96 and Loyalist in '99)

Beer labels. The "Yukon Gold" label features a picture of most of the C3 executive in 1996 going down the Tatshenshini River sideways. It was one of the more exciting outings of the 1996 Yukon Conference.

The 1999 Tour took conference goers to Heart Island in the beautiful Thousand Islands region of Ontario/New York. The label shows the coal-fired steam generating plant designed to power Boldt Castle.
